When Vivian’s mother dies in a tragic accident, Vivian’s world is turned upside down. Her life, as she knows it, is over. A new life, full of her mother’s secrets, begins…
Sent away by her father to live with two eccentric aunts on the mysterious Tremaine Estate, Vivian comes to learn that a powerful curse lurks over her family – one that only she may have the power to break. With each day she spends in Misty Hills, Vivian uncovers more unsettling discoveries about the town, her reclusive family, and herself.
Can Vivian let go of every truth she’s ever believed and discover who she really is, before the dark secrets hidden within the supernatural town threaten to consume her and those she loves?
When I first read the description of this book I knew I was going to like it. And, sure enough I did really enjoy this book. Slowly but surely all the gaps were being filled in and everything started to fall into place.
In the book, the main character is Vivian, she has no idea what is in store for her at Misty Hills. Her and her father were slowly falling apart after her mother's death, so he decided to send her away to her aunts, which she didn't know she had, to Misty Hills. She never met them before, her mother has never told her about them before, so she believes they are not really her aunts until she gets there. Everyone there kind of looks at her strange and she didn't know why. Vivian finds out more she can handle once moving to Misty Hills, but the more she uncovers the secrets, the more everything starts to make sense to her. Vivian isn't like many characters, she was really enjoyable, all she wanted to do was found out about her family and what all is going on in Misty Hills.
Once she met Hunter, I had a feeling they are going to be a lot more then what we all think. Plus Jaxon is also a dear, maybe it is going to be a love triangle. But my guy is telling me they know more then she and her friends know. Upon discovering all that went on in her mother's life and what is going on in Misty Hills, she wants to change it all. But the question is will it change for the good or the bad.
I really got into the book and then the ending, *shakes my head* the ending threw me off. It was the biggest cliff hanger I have ever encountered before, which made me mad and anxious for the next book to come out. Which I now can't wait for it to come out. I think a lot of people will enjoy this book as much as I did.
