As an ancient Sumerian god, Sin was one of the most powerful among his pantheon. . . Until the night Artemis brutally stole his godhood and left him for dead. For millennia, this ex-god turned Dark-Hunter has dreamed only of regaining his powers and seeking revenge on Artemis. If only life were that simple. Unfortunately he has bigger fish--or in Sin's case--demons, to fry. The lethal gallu that were buried by his pantheon are now stirring and they are hungry for human flesh. Their goal is to destroy mankind and anyone else who gets in their way. Sin is the only one who can stop them--that is if a certain woman doesn't kill him first. Unfortunately, Sin discovers that now he must rely on her or witness an annihilation of biblical proportions. Enemies have always made strange bedfellows, but never more so than when the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Now a man who knows only betrayal must trust the one person most likely to hand him to the demons. Artemis may have stolen his godhood, but this one has stolen his heart. The only question is will she keep it or feed it to the ones who want him dead?

“You know the incredible thing about hearts is their unbelievable capacity for forgiveness. You’d be amazed what people will overlook when they love someone. (Acheron)”

Devil May Cry is about Sin who is an Ex-God Sumerian and Katra the handmaiden to Artemis.

Kat has appeared in many of the books before this one so you get to know her a little bit through the other books. She is very strong willed, kind, and very honest. Katra has unimaginable power that no one quite knows about. When they first introduced Kat in previous series, I knew I would like her, she is a bad-ass in disguise.

Sin who use to be a the god of fertility and the moon. Years ago he has his powers stolen right out from under his nose. In the beginning he was a pissed off Sumerian who was bent on revenge.

Artemis is scared that Sin is going to try and come kill her again. So she sent out dear out Katra to assassinate him. But Katra doesn't want to kill him until she has enough evidence that he is just as crazy and messed up in the head as people say he is. She first say him killing a gallu and chopping their heads of and burning his flesh with a knife, she thought he was mad. He vanished from her sights and she looked all over for him, until she ran into a gallu which almost killed her and he saved her. Now she knows the issue at hand and doesn't want to kill him because if she does the world will die as they know it.

This book was a little different with the romance and the love making. There was no "God I gotta have her now" when they first met. Actually when they first met, Sin mistook Kat to be Artemis and tried to kill her. Go figure no love there. But Kat has never and I mean ever been with a man before. I thought it was sweet how they came to be together slowly but surely, they got to know each other.

I throughly enjoyed this book for many of reasons:
 1. Acheron was in it
 2. We learned more about Acheron's past
 3. We learned who Katra really is
Also Kat has gone eleven thousand years knowing who her father is and basically sees him everyday but she can't utter one word to him. In this story she was finally able to talk to him and it made me cry. I was really happy for Kat. In the other books Artemis really pisses me off, if I could smack her I would. She keeps Acheron tied up like a puppy dog and I feel so bad for him. But now, knowing she is able to love and take care of another being, I feel a little different about her.

If your currently reading the books before this and as soon as you get to this one you will fall in love.
