Rose was just a teenage girl carrying her father’s baby. A teenage girl who desperately wanted to escape.
Womanhood in Salem, Massachusetts 1692 wasn’t what she had in mind.
Rose was having a great life and a wonderful childhood before the "darkness" came and took over her life. Rose is only a teenager and she is carrying her father's baby. But she doesn't want to get rid of her, she wants to keep her and love and take care of her. But once she gives birth her father takes her away, so now Rose is running, running to save her daughters life from someone she tried to keep her away from. Rose fells something sharp and now she is falling and the next thing you know she is walking in snow and walking up to a village she has never seen before in the year 1692, She is not sure what to do, where she is, or who she is. Her night there she is being called or summoned to god knows where. But she feels compelled to go and see where this music is coming from and who is calling her name.
She meets up with William and Tess, two Ankou, they tell her they need her help for this war and then once she is done helping the Universe will let her go back home to the one thing she remembers so far and that is her daughter Anna. Rose or Cordovae finds herself fighting, running, fighting some more and then she is falling, falling in love with someone who she knows she can't have because she is leaving. Rose in her life she was a Seer and a forever girl, an descendant of Cordovae.
Everything about this book blew me away. Rebecca Hamilton took you to new heights and emotions in this Forever Girl book. She showed us heartache, loss, and abuse. But that never stopped Rose from falling in love.
Each character was well developed. Rose and William were meant for each other. But Rose wanted to go back home to Anna. But now, now she is home with William, the man she is in love with and Tess, the girl who don't take shit for no shit. The ending is made me cry, it was a big twist on the whole story. Another great book to the Forever Girl series.
